I'm interested to see how Barzal does this year with no Tavares on the team. |

Laughed when I seen his epic fail. I do believe he meant to say:
3rd cup in 4 years is entirely possible.
But what you said is also true, would be crazy to see them win a 4th cup/ring. Although I hope they don't! |

My guess is he will do just fine. Will likely have another 80+ point season to be honest.
He's a phenomenal player |

ya but a tad more difficult when you have to face the best defense on the other side night after night...I fully expect a (small) drop in production this year |

I love when people try to simplify why the Pens failed last year. They're always so wrong. |

Great deal for you, your team is so young...you need more vet presence. FINE! You draw a hard bargain.
Carolina 2019 1st for Simmonds, Weise and Neuvirth. Get it while it's hot! |

My stab at the metro:
1) Pens
2) Flyers
3) Caps
4) Devils
5) Jackets
6) Canes
7) Rangers
8) Islanders
I think 4 through 6 could really go either way. I've read people having very different perspectives on the Jackets. By all standards, they probably should finish first, but I think coaching and goaltending will cause them to chase the final spot. Just a gut thing, but I think Bob is due for a stinker season.
The Canes will not be nearly as bad as EK thinks. They will be in the fight until the last week of the season as I think five teams are coming out of the Metro again. |

Carolina's goaltending is scary, that's coming from a Flyer fan. |

Very iffy on Flyers' goaltending for at least one more year.....can't see them higher than the Caps

If the Flyers can get above average goaltending, probably a franchise best Maple Leaf kind of season...3rd in division. Otherwise more of a wild card team. |

Is there much buzz in Flyers land about trying to get Bob back? Seems like all you need is a good goalie and Philly will be a dominant team in the East. |

I think having a more skilled forward group this year and more experienced young d-core will keep pucks away from the net a bit more.
Overall, as usual, the Metro is so strong everything can go either way.
Pens, Caps, Flyers, Devils and Jackets should all be in the hunt till the bitter end. |

Not even a whimper of a rumor about giving up assets for an expensive goaltender. Flyers window isn't this year and it would be poor management to go after one. Looks like Flyers are staying to their word and building for a long time of winning, not for a couple years. |

Oh, I meant next year if he goes UFA...I mean, in leaf land the rumours would have started up two years ago.. |
